Staying true to the official sport of Texas, Austin hosts one of America's top 10 Pro-Rodeos every March. The top ranked athletes in each event compete in Rodeo Austin for the title of Champion. In an action-packed two hours, fans enjoy extreme competition, bull fighting entertainment and the fan-favorite Mutton Bustin'. A family-friendly event, Rodeo Austin offers something for everyone. Open at 10 a.m. daily, the fairgrounds offers Austin's largest carnival, shopping, food and a variety of shows and special attractions. Fairground admission grants access to the fun and educational activities listed below.

Old Settler’s Music Festival is a nationally known music festival featuring the best in roots and Americana music. Located just outside of Austin, the festival takes place at Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch, just minutes from Austin. It’s a landscape of shady trees and sunny meadows at the height of bluebonnet season. The music continues nonstop for four straight days, with concerts, workshops, and impromptu jam sessions all day and throughout the night.

A fundraiser for the Capital Area Food Bank, the event features three days of amazing reggae / world / dub talent on the Main Stage and Charlie’s Dub Corner. In addition to all this great music, the Austin Reggae Festival includes more than 50 vendors selling a variety of delicious food, plus unique arts & crafts. On top of all this, attendees enjoy celebrating spring at one of the city’s best outdoor venues with positive-thinking people from around the United States and around the world.

Eeyores Birthday Party is a fund-raiser to benefit non-profit groups in Austin. Some of these groups will be selling hot and cold food (including vegetarian), soft drinks, juices, spring water, and Texas beer at the event.
